About the Artist
I grew up in Provence to a family who cherished art and influenced the affinity I have for the medium of vitreous glass and oil paint. Between the demands of raising two children and a career in the airline industry, I returned to school and graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of University Studies in Fine Arts and Anthropology in 2013.
I am best known for my vitreous glass paintings, a process in which I assemble shards of colored glass to create my art. My work combines glass collage and mixed media in a way that feels both sculptural and painterly. My layered hues in my mosaic-style constructions create a sense of joy and motion. My subjects often celebrate love and life in the Wasatch mountains where I have lived for the past forty years. Through vibrant colors, I aim to capture light, love, and the moments that connect us and that we cherish most.
